Orderbird: revolutionising Europe's restaurant scene
Berlin-based startup Orderbird has just secured an extra investment thought to run into millions of Euros, marking the next stage in the company's remarkable expansion in the European restaurant sector.
Their simple, efficient and unified point of sale (POS) system is run via iOS systems like iPhone and iPad, enabling restaurants to set up quickly, with minimal overheads and systems that are intuitive, customisable and, therefore, quick to train staff to use.
Incorporated in the software are wireless ordering, cancellations, remote printing (for receipts), order adjustments, discounts, multiple payment options, split bills and waiter management. But perhaps the most exciting feature is the integrated booking system, which lets customers book tables via their smartphones. A handy time saver that has the potential to save time and cut out expensive middle men.
All of the information from Orderbird's systems is also stored in a data centre, which is particularly useful for startups and small businesses looking for a quick and up-to-date overview of business development.
With integrated accounting expected to be added shortly, Orderbird is on the brink of becoming a one-stop shop for pop-ups, startups and even corporates investigating expansion options. With Open Table already revolutionising the customer experience, Orderbird is disrupting in the one place that still lacks innovation - and we're excited to see it grow.
