An Open Door To Funding For Entrepreneurs
On Friday 1st November, the Crowdfunding: Deep Impact Conference will be offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from the founders of various crowdfunding platforms, as well as meet with likeminded business owners and investors.
Pioneers of the country's most successful crowdfunding platforms will descend on the National Geographical Society next month to explore the massive opportunities it’s opening up for UK entrepreneurs on the first #UKCrowdfundersDay
Julie Meyer of entrepreneurcountry/Ariadne Capital will be speaking at the conference, along with Bill Morrow, founder of Angel’s Den – the UK and Europe’s biggest Angel network who’ve just launched their own Crowdfunding platform. Other attendees include Oliver Rothschild, Professor Alan Barrell and David Drake Chairman of LDJ Capital.
Why is this conference so important?
Banks aren’t lending and the entrepreneurial ecosystem need a kickstart. Crowdfunding is delivering a shot in the arm to entrepreneurs, giving start-ups and social enterprises the funds they need to launch, as well as offering a new funding route to growth for innovative businesses. The conference will also be helping to widen the reach to donors for charities and social enterprises, with a running theme on the day being the importance of empowering individuals to improve their communities.
Crowdfunding is a new financial paradigm, where communities and people are led by entrepreneurs motivated to deliver what people actually need and want. More awareness is needed for this empowering tool and we want to help entrepreneurs learn how they can use it to their advantage, as well as invite investors to embrace it and the many opportunities it holds for their portfolio.
