Web design and development (Entry level position)
Responsibilities:
Design:
- Design concepts for site upgrade and present to internal stakeholders
- Create web site designs
- Produce mock ups of sample sites
- Suggest and implement changes for improving functionality and visual appeal
- Design web interface for database management
Development:
- Use Joomla backend to maintain and update the site
- Work with external agency to maintain the mobile app
- Maintain and clean up data from website, email database for any spam and invalid accounts
- Build and manage web interface for database management using Mysql
Testing:
- Test new website designs before going live
- Test functionality before going live
- Communicate and present to stakeholders for approval
Analytics:
Maintain and report weekly statistics from:
- website database
- Google analytics
- Social media and
- email database
Affiliates support:
Support international partners who are critical for the expansion of our business with cultural and communications affinity, digital analytics, web design, mobile application management and graphic design.
Other responsibilities:
- Upload content to the website
- Support thought leader contributors with any technical issues in content upload and presentations.
Skills required:
- Website design,
- Website development and maintenance.
- Proficient in website testing
- Proficient in Joomla
- Should be able to use Mysql to create database
- Analytical, to be able to maintain and present the statistics
- Should be able to communicate and work with external agencies
- Should be able to communicate and support our international affiliates
- Personable and a team player
- Strong understanding of entrepreneurship
- Proven track record of working in an international environment supporting clients/partners
- Experience of working with InDesign, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and PHP.
- Strong level of autonomy and working late evenings/weekends at short notice with minimal notice
